We proposed a new capacitance measuring system which has the following features: 1) low operating frequency without any effect on measurement objects; 2) highly precise measurement capability without using a large current; 3) a simple sturdy structure in which the electrodes are shielded by insulator and there is no connection between the measuring device and objective LC resonant circuit; and 4) reliability confirmed by the long operating history of a key component, the dipmeter. From many experimental results, we confirmed that this equipment is quite suitable for highly precise capacitance measurements.
