The effects of qi on biomolecules

Three experiments are done for studying the affects of Qi on biomolecules.
1. The Raman spectroscopy studies of tap water, saline and glycose solution.
A gaint peak ranges from 1000 cm to 3000 cm with maximum at 1970 cm is observed in the Raman spectrum of tap water after the Qi treatment. The water treated by Qi is called the information water in Qigong therapy.
The characteristic peak of saline treated by Qi either shifts from 246 cm to 233 cm or disappears, and keeps unchanged at least for 2 days.
The peaks at 710 cm and 1240 cm in the Raman spectrum of glycose solution disappear after the treatment of Qi but the peak at 2900 cm is enhanced significantly and keeps unchanged at least for 2 days.
These experimental results show that all the samples have undergo some structure changes after treated by Qi.
2. The phase behaviors of liposomes
Differential scanning calorimetric technique (DSC) is used for neasuring the phase behaviors of DPPC (Dipalmitoyl phosphatidic choline) liposomes after they are treated by Qi. The measurement shows a big endothermic drop at 46-48 C besides the original phase transition at 41.5 C.
3. The hyperchromatic effect of Qi on DNA and RNA.
The ultraviolet absorption curve of DNA from bovine thymus has a characteristic peak at 157nm. It is observed that the absorption increased to 2.3% and 4.3% just after the DNA sample
is treated by Qi and 45 Minutes later respectively.
A second Qi treatment to the DNA sample is given. Just after the Qi treatment, no change in absorption is observed, but it increases to 12% at 9 hours and 10 minutes later.
The sample of yeast RNA shows a similar hyperchromatic effect after the Qi treatment.
