Three cases of acute gastritis and thirty cases of chronic gastritis were treated with Qigong and Xinxi Water. Of these cases, 18 were male, 15 were female, age ranged from 6 to 56, symptomatic duration was from 8 months to 30 years in chronic patients and from 3 hours to two days in acute ones.
Method of treatment:
Firstly, performed Qigong to patients on Shangwan, Zhongwan, Shenque, Qihai, Guanyuan, Weishu, Dachangshu, Zhushanli, etc. then, gave them Xinxi Water for oral administration, 100-400 ml each time. Generally, 5-40 times were given.
22 cases were cured (symptoms and signs disappeared), 10 cases improved in symptoms and only one case no change.

No side effects developed during treatment. We found that: Effects for children and women were better than that for adults and men, respectively. The more sensitive to JINGLUO the patient was, the better the result of treatment was.
We believed that treatment with Qigong and Xinxi Water could regulate the function of visceral nerves, improve gastrointestinal working conditions, increase output of digestive juice and probably, affected body fluids.
