# The impact of qigong telecontrol experiment on the structure of matters

With the action of qi (vital energy emitted by qigong master Zhang Yuanming far away in Shanghai, we performed, here in Xi'an, the experiment, in which the structures of matter were changed to certain degrees.

Only one of those matters, namely, ethanol, is to be discussed here.

1. Distance Between Energy Levels

As is shown in the table attached to the end of this paper, the whole spectrum, with the action of qi, was observed to changed obviously, ranging from ultraviolet to infra-red. The maximum change in wave numbers, occurring in ultraviolet 3200A, reached 1.838x103 cm^-l, while the minimum. occurring in infrared 9600A, was 2.216x103 cm^-1. As is known to us all, the absorption (radiation spectrum) of a matter is decided by its own structure, and the wavelength of each spectrum, by the distance between orbits where t.he electrons transit. This can be shown in the energy level graph, and meanwhile there is the following formula, hvij = Ej - Bi. Here, hv are a series of constants for a certain matter. The fact that the absorption peaks of ethanol ranging from ultraviolet to infra-red moved towards long waves with the action of qi illustrates that the distance between energy levels shortened.

2. Changer in the Number of the Particles in Energy Levels

The absorption spectrum shows that the amount of entrance light particles (molecules, atoms, etc.), absorb. The absorption rate is related to the number of particles in energy levels . The absorption rate of ethanol, after acted upon by qi, changed considerably. The greatest change was 60.8% (lambda = 5200A). That's to say, the number of ethanol particles (molecules, atoms, etc.) changed in different energy levels.

3. The Effect on the Structure of Marrw

To sum up, the absorption spectrum (peaks and valleys), with the telecontrol action of qi, changed to varying degrees, ranging from ultraviolet to visible light to infra-red, so did its absorption rate. That is, in terms of ethanol molecules, the distance between their electronic inner and outer orbits, that between the outer orbits themselves, the vibration and rotation of the molecules, they all, with the action of qi, were influenced to various degrees. More specifically, the distance shortened between some transition orbits of electrons, and the vibration and rotation of molecules changed less than when not acted upon by qi. In brief the structure of ethanol molecules, with the action of qi.

4. The storability of Qi Information and its Continuous Effects

Through the several-day observations of the matters acted upon by qi, qi information was found to be characterized as storability and continuous effects, with the end of the action of qi, its effect did not come to an end, but continued to exist, which also illustrates the storability of qi information. Besides, the changes in the structures of the matters were not due to instantaneous effect. The changed matters presumably have new relatively stable structures, as far as the above-mentioned problems are concerned, we do not plan to go into detail here. They are to be dealt with in further research and in papers accordingly.

The changes in the spectrum, before and after the action of qi, are shown in the table:
