Due to the proliferation of performance enhancing drugs the International Olympic Committee has called for the testing of all athletes in Olympic competition and other national sports organizations are following. Punishment is not enough, viable alternatives are necessary for young and old athletes to actualize their potential and be a source of mind body integration for cultural and personal enrichment. Experiences in healing and research on the coordination of breathing, movement, global physiology and behavior in Qigong will be necessary to apply to sports performance in order to bring about social enrichment and personal health. Physiological states have been researched in this area and this information will be presented and applied to sport performance and individual health. New ideas for research will be presented.
