Remote Diagnosis of Both Living and Deceased Persons by a Group of Intuitives Working Together On-Line

The purpose of this study is to test the abilities of intuitive humans to diagnose medical problems as well as determine symptoms from a distance of both living and deceased subjects of whom they have no prior knowledge.

Methods: Thirteen (13) subjects whose medical history could be verified were selected. Nine (9) of the subjects are presently living, three (3) are deceased, and one (1) subject was fictitious. The experiment was performed in two (2) sessions. One week apart. There were three (3) intuitives and a moderator. The moderator typed in the subject's name and area of residence and asked for their impressions of the subject's diagnosis, symptoms, and any other information they felt was important concerning the health of the subject. In the case of a deceased person, the most recent area of permanent residence was given. Hospitals out of the subject's area of usual residence were not given as addresses even though they may have been the last place of residence.

A transcript was made of each session. The responses of the intuitives were scored as correct, incorrect, or not verifiable at this time. The third category was introduced here as a number of prognostic impressions were received and we will have to wait to see if these are correct. In addition the intuitives received some responses having to do with emotions and prior illnesses in which they indicated likely contributed to the development of the illness, and finally, in the case of some of the deceased subjects there is no way to verify all of the accuracy of impressions given although we were able to verify a great deal of it.

The moderator was as objective as possible in verifying unknown material. Since everyone was on-line at the same time, whoever had a correct impression was given credit for that impression. Any impression that was similar and previously given by someone else was not counted. Phone calls were made to relatives of deceased patients to verify or discount certain of the impressions we were not certain about. Follow up phone calls were also made to relatives/friends of one subject who had not been seen in person by the moderator to verify or discount the intuitive impressions about this subject. In this manner some of the content not usually present in a medical record but received by the intuitives was followed up.

+There was one impression that the subject was missing their right kidney and one impression that congestion was present. After these 2 impressions one intuitive indicated they were receiving very little information relative to this subject. Another intuitive asked if this was a real person. At this point they were told the subject was not real.
The moderator was born without a right kidney and does suffer from congestion however.

Conclusions: This experiment shows that it may well be possible to at least determine medical conditions, symptoms and other information about an unseen, unknown, living or deceased person at a distance. More importantly, with the degree of accuracy shown; it raises questions as to the existence of at least some sort of energy field which persists after a person dies. Although this study was limited, further investigation is certainly merited.
