The effectiveness of the AST Chiro treatment on the painful shoulder was examined and compared with the effectiveness by the hyaluronic acid injection therapy.
On the treatment of the pain, over 40% of the painful samples were cured by only one AST treatment. The extent is not high, but consecutive treatments assisted healing, and after 3 treatments the extent of the curing became more than 71%. Most of the patients were completely cured by several treatments and never perceived reoccurrence of the pain.
On the other hand, by the hyaluronic injection therapy, the pain disappeared quickly but reappeared again after several days. That is a typical phenomenon.
As for the effectiveness on the range of motion (ROM), 2 to 4 AST treatments cured almost all the patients. The effectiveness of measured by ROM was the greatest for forward, followed by backward, and then side movements.
