General Introduction:

There are a lot of documents discussing about the experimental research of the emitted Qi in the past ten years, among which those listed in the collection of abstracts of the five national congresses on Qigong Research and 3 world conferences on Medical Qigong are prominent. The research covers the field of physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, electronics, optics, magnetism, electromagnetism, acoustics, fluid mechanics, nuclear physics, electrochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, cytology, genetics, pathology, pharmacology, psychology, microbiology and sports medicine.

From above we can see the experimental research of Qigong is actually a study with multiple sciences, including some front disciplines. Of all the research report biology and medicine are in the leading position, accounting for the majority in the collected works.

All the researches were carried out by distinguished scholars at universities and scientific academies and institutes, e.g. the Beijing University, Qinghua University, Nanjing University, 1rst Army Medical University, Tokyo Medical University, Tokyo Electroengineering University, Higher Energy institute, Physics Institute, etc.

Evaluation:

The research is focused on the existence of the emitted Qi. Different viewpoints are seen. Some advocate the existence and some hold negative view. However, from the number of the research documents, those having positive views are of the majority, but they can still not reach the final conclusion. Those researches trying to negate the existence of the emitted Qi lack adequate evidence.
