In these last six years of research on medical Qigong therapy, we have come to new considerations about the meaning of acupuncture point. The preliminary study shows that the acupoint is an area of superficial resonance. This area supports the energetically exchange between biological open system and the surrounding environment. The correct word to define the point of acupuncture is 'Energetical Access', because it is not a theoretical idea, but it is a physical reality, that receives stimulation: it is excitable and it has a resonance and produces stimulation itself. The 'Energetical Access' is the gate for the best passage of energy and bioinformation. It is possible that in these places there might be an exchange between the same quantum of information, of energy and/or matter. It is a gate for input and output from the biological system. We know three open ways to the biological system: the orifices, the skin and the mind. Therefore the skin is not only a protection, but also is an open way of the biological system as an respiratory function, as an emunctory function and as an energetical access. The whole skin is a way of access, but the acupoint areas are real energetical accesses. During the exercise of Qigong the participant feels heat in the acupoints that are stimulated. We have observed an important endothermic reaction with infrared scanner. This temporarily excitation status is the really one positive enthalpy exchange. Enthalpy is the function of status in thermodynamics that evaluates the system's thermic content. This thermical excitation of the acupoint is observed with Qigong phonetic active exercises, with Qigong passive exercises and with Qigong mental concentration.
