The excitation and inhibition of human cerebral nerves follows the rule of diffusion and concentration and mutual induction, i. e. When excitation or inhibition is produced in a certain part of the cortex, it may diffuses to the neighboring areas, and when the diffusion reaches to a certain point, it comes back to the starting point. This process is known as the human constant movement.
The constant movement would appear when one is doing qigong exercises, or listening to a report by a qigong master who induces the movement, or receiving the emitted qi in treatment with mental relaxation, muscular relaxation, especially the neck, low back and knees. Because human being is a living organism, it has a biological field. When many biological fields assembly together, a strong group biological field produces. Under the influence its constant movement would appear in those whose meridian reaction is sensitive. The more you relax the stronger the movement. One has a good feeling and cannot control himself from moving. This is because of the dominant nervous excitation, which diffuses to the whole body. In qigong it is called the 'spontaneous qigong form'. After the excitation diffuses to the whole body it may come back to the starting point, and the movement gradually becomes less and less, and quietness finally appears.
When one is in a state of constant movement, and one wants to stop the movement, movement may stop for a while, but when the idea of stop is gone, and muscle relaxes again, under the influence of the group field, the body would move again. If your idea of stop is not so strong, the movement is still going on.
Constant movement is a kind of specific qigong state, in which due to movement of arms and body the blood circulation accelerates, qi attacks the lesion, dredges meridians, promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis. It produces a curative effect beyond imagination.
