1. General data
(1) Subjects: Male: 6, female: 10 FBS>=7.77 mmol/L (GOD-PAD method); maximum: 17.89m mol/L.
Diabetes diagnosed and controlled.
Average age: 59.3
over 60 : 8 cases
Disease course: 2-25 years;
average: 7.87 years
(2) Normal range of FBS: 4.22-6.11m mol/L. IPI: 5-22m In/L
(3) Evaluation method: Pase as the chief indicator of recovery from diabetes
2. Qigong exercises: Six forms of qigong exercises for diabetes
Six times a day, lasting for 15, 3010,10,15 and 30 min. respectively; 1-4 forms were done in the morning and 5-6 forms were done in the evening, 21 days making a course.
3. Result

Discussion:
1. Practice proves that qigong exercises can help to decrease the level of blood sugar and relieve complications, G. P. T. of 3 cases returned to normal after 3 course of treatment.
2. One course of treatment only increased the secretion of serum insulin and did not change the bio-activity of insulin. After one year's exercises, the bio-activity of insulin was increased. It suggests that short-term qigong exercises do not make diabetes recover, and long term exercises may have a radical cure.
