The author has developed a wave generation device, which consists of gold, platinum, and silver plates arranged in a condenser, which is believed to be emitting unique qi. When this device was applied to the human body, effects similar to qi effects were obtained. The author adopted experimental methods focusing on changes in blood flow utilizing a phase-contrast microscope and xenon CT instead of the previous methods utilizing O-rings, electroencephalograph and thermography. Previous research studies and experiments concerning characteristics of qi, qi transmission, changes in blood flow in the brain, and the effects of removing harmful things from the human body were reviewed for the present paper.
