We divided averagely 100 tilapia into two groups. Both were first put into -10 degrees C for 9 minutes and then in warm water to observe their resuscitation. One group was treated with qigong waiqi emitted by a qigong master while the other did not (control). The results showed that the group treated by qigong took only an average of 4.174 minutes to resuscitate while the other had to take 12.803 minutes. The difference between the two groups is significant (P<0.001). In the following day, the survival rate of the group with qigong treatment, was 100 percent while the other group showed only 18 percent. Therefore, it can be concluded that qigong waiqi can accelerate the resuscitation of frozen tilapia and increase the survival rate.
In another experiment we observed the effect of qigong waiqi on blood flow in the capillary of frog before and after being frozen with microscope. It was shown that qigong waiqi can accelerate blood flow of frozen animals and their resuscitation.
We also observed the structure changes of mitochondria of the cerebral neurons of frozen mouse under electronic microscope. We found that those neurons treated by qigong were damaged less than others without such treatment. This experiment also shows that qigong waiqi has some protective effect on the frozen tissues.
