All living bodies emit super weak photons (biophotons) although they cannot be recognized by the human eye. The author successfully made quantitative measurements for non-contact (spiritual) healing using biophotons emitted from cucumber samples after a healing treatment. In the method, there is no placebo effect because targets of healing are not human beings, and also quantity of the healing effect is indicated as a parametric index. Results of experiments supported a few empirical claims of healers, for example, veteran healers have stronger abilities than beginners; healing effects are large if physical conditions of healers are fine. However, un-expected data were also obtained, for example, differences between kinds of techniques are not important; physical factors are more important than mind/conscious factors although the word "spiritual healing" suggests the importance of the mind or consciousness. In the present lecture, the author outlines these quantitative studies on non-contact healing
