Three Acupuncture Gates in the Du meridian are located where Western medical surgery commonly takes place along the spine. Illness can be caused by blockage of the three gates (Wei-lui, Chia-chi, and Yu-tsen). For good health, Qi must flow freely in the Heavenly circle (small circle), and the three gates in the path of the Du meridian have to be open.
I will discuss how Qigong is used to diagnosis when the gates are closed. By using Qigong with biomechanical manipulation, I will demonstrate how to correct the positions of the vertebrae so that Qi flows up the Du meridian and nourishes the vertebrae, the disks and the soft tissue of the spinal column. A Qigong master can help open these gates. Personal Qigong practice will produce greater benefits for human health, life span, physical fitness, skin beauty, and human intelligence.
