Meridian theory is important in Oriental traditional medicine. In order to demonstrate that the meridian is functional, reactions were tested in which light emitting diode (LED) signals were radiated at meridian point and measured using electroencephalography (EEG) and the single square voltage pulse method. Results had a significant difference according to wave length. The effectiveness of traditional medicine theory could be examined with a painless photo-signal.
