The purpose of our study was to investigate the effect of normalizing the vagus nervous functionin subjects who received external Qi emission (MOA purifying therapy). In control group, 230 healthy subjects were seated in chair while their electrocardiographs (ECG) were measured. HF (High Frequency) component was analyzed by fluctuation of the r-r interval of the ECG for each subject, and standard HF values for every age were determined. In the external Qi group, 17 subjects seated in chairs while emissions were given to their neck and shoulders for 30min. HF component increased by external Qi emissionin the subjects who had HF of less thanor equal to the standard HF value. HF component decreased by administration of external Qi emission in those subjects who had more than the standard HF value. We suggested that the administration of external Qi had the effect of normalizing the vagus nervous function.
