In this experiment we measured the changes of LPO before and after qigong using the calorimetric method of TBA. Before qigong, 20 patients who have angiopathy of heart and brain the values of LPO (values are the mean±SD) is 7.928±2.250 nmol/ml. After twenty days of qigong, the values of LPO is 6.925±1.911 nmol/ml. The mean values come down 1.003 nmol/ml. There is a marked difference comparing with before qigong (p<0.05). Simultaneously, we let the qigong master send out the WI gas to the serum of hepatitis patients. Before the WI gas, the values of LPO is 10.285±4.052 nmol/ml. After the WI gas, the LPO is 9.332±3.939 nmol/ml (P<0.05). These results suggest that qigong can affect the function of cell membrane.
