3-4 ml peritoneal cells of mice were injected into the abdomen of mice, peritoneal liquid extracted and microphagocytes (M) purified. The mice were distributed at random. In experimental group, the mice were immunized with 5% SRBC 0.2 ml each and stimulated by qi emissions. In the control group the mice were only immunized with 0.2 ml 5% SRBC. The Qigong master irradiated the mice of the experimental group 20 min once a day for five days. The cells of the mice were examined by SEM and TEM.
Qi emission increased folds on cell surface, false feet stretching around, enhanced capture and phagocyte functions, developed folds and microhair, distinct pinocytes, more lysosomes, golgioapparates and other cell organs, and promote pinocytosis function and cell activity. The change of cell morphology and expression of information on cell surface demonstrate that qi emissions play an important role in inducing the change of M. M supply antigens for lymphocytes by direct or indirect contact with them. Under the transmission microscope it is seen that M keep in close touch with lymphocytes, which is regarded as a way of delivering antigens to lymphocytes. As to the rules of M in transmitting information to lymphocytes after receiving qi emissions and the status of relative lymphocytes subsets, much work remains to be done.
