The 5-year-project 'Study on analyzing methods of human body functions using various simultaneous measurements (VSM)'(representative: Mikio YAMAMOTO) which started in September 1995 will conclude at the end of March 2000. The project was carried out mainly in the Bio-Emission Laboratory, Division of Radiation Research, National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS), Science and Technology Agency (STA) of the Japanese Government. The project was related to the realm of consciousness, spirit, mind-phenomena, qigong, anomalous perception and extrasensory perception (ESP). It had a budget of roughly 800,000 dollars / 5 years awarded from STA. This report describes the purposes of the project, activities and the studies, for the past 5 years and collects abstracts of papers and proceedings of the project. A full report will be published later. The studies of this group will continue in a new, expanded project.
