This writing is concerned with a preliminary observation of the immediate curative effects of 16 cases of diabetes that has pursued the “restorative breathing exercises for diabetics.” It has been shown by results that after doing these exercises for 3 weeks, most diabetic sufferers have had their FBS (blood sugar as tested on an empty stomach) lowered to normal range (4.44 to 6.11 mmol/L (p<0.001). Clinical symptoms have shown evident improvement. Some 64% of the sufferers using drugs for control of blood sugar have cut down on the use of such drugs as much as 30% to 50% after doing breathing exercises.

Also, this paper advances a new concept of taking the biological activation of serum insulin as a measure of restorative quality in diabetic cases, thus replacing the present traditional way of taking the level of blood sugar or uric sugar as the norm for observation.

Clinical results have shown that it improves the diabetic sufferer’s biological activation of serum insulin through long term practice of breathing exercises. These results suggest that breathing exercises can contribute significantly not only to the treatment of diabetes, but also to its prevention.
