Increasing of frequency and difficulty of Chronic Obstruction Lung Diseases (COLD) which lead to disablement; absence of safe drugs; and necessity of staging treatment in conditions of frequent relapses demand further development and improvement of therapeutic-preventive assistance of these patients.

Existing methods of treatment for the patients with COLD are mainly therapy with drugs; at the same time, now in literature there are facts about successful usage, with the purpose of healing, alternatives to Western medicine: aromatherapy, reflexotherapy, homeopathy. In that number may be included the practice of Zhong Yuan Qigong. The basis of this method is a system of Qigong exercises with arbitrary control of consciousness on certain objects and regulation of breathing, which lead to accumulation and distribution of 'vital energy' in the body.

With this purpose of our research, we found clinical changes in patients with chronic obstruction bronchitis (COB) due to Qigong-therapy. We observed 16 patients with COB in age from 21 to 48 years old; firm remission was marked in all these patients. Symptoms included: cough with secretion of poor quantity phlegm marked at 7 (43.7%); difficulty in breathing revealed at 2 (12.5%); lack of breath was in all these patients.

In consequence of conducting treatment was a marked clinical amendment of health in patients, with changes of indexes in the system of external respiration:
FVC increased from 63,7+-2,7% to 79,3+-3,1%, p<0,001.
FEV-1 increased from 67,4+-3,1% to 80,5+-3,2%, p<0,001.
FEF-75 increased from 38,7+-3,7% to 61,3+-4,1%, p<0,001.

Thus, Qigong-therapy at the same time with drugs is an effective method in rehabilitation of patients with COB. _
