A time - space parameter derived from AR spectrum analysis and chaotic correlation dimension of EEG were used to establish the degrees of concentration and tranquilization to indicate the consciousness activities of concentration and tranquilization in static Qigong. Eighty subjects in three groups practicing Qigong at different levels of were tested. The results showed that, for the student group (25 subjects) and the Qigong treatment group (31 subjects), before truly learning the practice, the degree of concentration and tranquilization are nearly zero. This is determined by measuring those practicing Qigong compared to rest. After 3 - 7 months of practicing Qigong, both the concentration degree and tranquilization degree improved. Practicing Qigong among the treatment group, which insisted on practicing well, only the concentration degree went up in practicing Qigong for the student group, which was not good in insistence on practicing Qigong. For the experienced Qigong group, in practicing Qigong both the concentration degree and tranquilization degree went up, and after practicing Qigong they recovered quickly. It suggested that the concentration degree and the tranquilization degree provided objective methods to analyze quantitatively the level of tranquilization and the conscious state in static Qigong.
