Chinese Qigong is one of the important cultural heritages of traditional Chinese Medicine. Although the concept of Qigong has not yet been fully defined, it has been accepted by more and more people all over the world as psychotherapy. Chinese Qigong is different from other traditional Chinese Medicine. Bio-psychophysiological changes will occur in the human body and influence the mind and personality during the Qigong exercise.

1. Psychological effects of Qigong

In order to understand the topic of the application in medical psychology and psychological effects of qigong on the body. We must review some terms of normal psychology. These terms include sensation, perception, image, recognition, recall, attention, thinking, consciousness, memory emotion and mindwill these are involved in the regulation of the mind in qigong practice.

Psychological phenomenon is the function of the brain. Qigong practice is one the physical/psychological exercise associated with the brain. Many results on Qigong research show that qigong can make a series of physical/psychological changes of human body and influence the mind and personality.
