1. The existence of the Conch Meridian
(1) The small Conch Meridian is located 3 cun under the umbilicus, where there is a meeting point of three other meridians. Seen from the front of the body, it has a shape of an 'infinity sign', which is symmetrical and about a fist-wide. The small Conch Meridian is the same in male and in female.
(2) The Big Conch Meridian
It's also called the meridian of Reproductive Circle. It's unique in human meridian system and it's different in male and in female.
2. The Conch Meridian's blood and qi properties and its importance in practicing qigong and clinical treatment
Transmission of qi and blood in the Conch Meridian can be controlled by the mind. In the system of 14 meridians, each meridian has its own special way of transmission of qi and blood. Both the Ren and Du meridians are controlled by the Small Conch Meridian. The Big Conch Meridian has a comprehensive property of organ and 14 meridians. It has a two-way regulating function of controlling the accumulation and release of human energy.
