Many Gong—Nen—Zens people possessing extrasensory perception and psychokinesis and have the ability to make pills or crystals penetrate the sealed glass bottle wall without breaking the glass. Sometime they can even transfer insects out of the sealed glass bottle and still keep the insect alive. But a successful experiment requires the existence of a narrow slit or a small opening left on the glass wall no matter whether the opening is covered with a plug. This phenomena is very similar to the climbing wall behavior of superfluid He4, which is caused by the formation of macroscopic quantum state of He4 (Bose—Einstein condensation). No intermediate state that two objects are mixed has ever been found yet, we believe that this is also due to the fact that solid or glass wall form a macroscopic quantum wave. In order for solid with mass M to produce a material wave with wavelength L (lambda) approximately equal to the self dimension, its thermal velocity V (mu) of center of mass must be smaller that h/ML, where h is the Planck constant.
In July 1995, Anderson et. al. at the National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST) have successfully trapped the free moving atoms utilizing laser cooling and magnetic trap techniques and lowered the system temperature to such a level (10exp17 K) temperature that the atoms form a new material phase: Bose—Einstein condensation. The quantum state of this new phase with the magnitude of a few thousand angstrom can be described by a single wave function. We believe if a similar technique is used to reduce the thermal motion of the center of mass of a solid, i.e., eliminate the low frequency acoustic wave, the solid may exhibit macroscopic quantum phenomena and be observed easily.
