Effect of qigong waiqi (emitted qi) on blood chemistry of mice radiated with x-rays Author: Lin Menxian//Zhang Jie//Hu Dongwe//Ye Zhumei Affiliation: Fujina soul Skill Research Dept, Fu Zhou, China [1] Conference/Journal: 3rd Nat Acad Conf on Qigong Science Date published: 1990 Other: Pages: 58 , Word Count: 177 We have reported that the effect of qigong waiqi on the experimental fracture in mice. In this report we observed the effect of qigong waiqi on the amounts of leukocyte, lymphocyte, and neutrocyte of male mice (weight 25.5-31.5 g), that were radiated 4 times by X-ray (X-ray was 4 mas, pipe voltage was 38 KV and focal length was 80 cm). Experiment was divided into two groups: qigong group (N=5) and control group (N=4). The result showed that : 1. On the seventh day after stopping radiation the amounts of leukocyte, lymphocyte, neutrocyte of the control mice were 13213+-1331, 9411+-1812, 3363+-478/mm^3 respectively, all less than baseline blood picture (16900+-2557, 11860+-1617 and 4135+-600/mm^3 respectively, P<0.05). But the amounts of leukocyte, lymphocyte, neutrocyte in the qigong group increased obviously (the leukocyte was 25816+-4037, lymphocyte, 18875+-3944, neutrocyte, 5361+-278/mm^3, P<.01). 2. On the twenty-eight day after stopping radiation the blood picture of qigong group returned to normal but the amounts of leukocyte, lymphocyte, neutrocyte of control group increased significantly, compared with baseline ones and with qigong group, the difference was significant (P<0.01).
