    Sound analyses of six vocal sounds used in six-word practice Qigong (Rokujiketsu) was carried out by a Chinese and a Japanese Qigong master. Very high frequency components above 14.8 kHz were present in their voices. The fundamental frequency was basically a second harmonic but had a somewhat different structure according to who uttered the six words. Furthermore, the biophysical effects of listening to the six words uttered by the Qigong masters were measured by a single square voltage pulse (SSVP) method on meridian points for 15 subjects. The average changes in the order of the meridians indicated by the measurements on a person listening to or practicing the six-word technique showed systematic trends. That is, the six-word practice seems to affect certain internal organs or meridians dependent on the six-word sound being uttered as commonly believed.
