Statistical differences were shown in extroversion and introversion personality traits between the two group (chi square test : the value was 3.88; p<0.05). In the male group 8 cases (72.7%) belonged to the extroversion personality traits, 3 cases belonged to the introversion personality traits; while in the female group, 8 cases(36.4%) , 14 cases (63.6%) respectively. In occupation and culture degree, significant difference was not found. (p>0.05) Male subjects mainly displayed psychotic symptoms of grandiose delusions, persecutory delusions and acousma. Female subjects showed persecutive delusions, acousma, insomnia and alone speaking. Prolixity and grandiose delusions were more significant in males than in females. (p<0.05) Curative effect had no significant difference between the two groups.(p>0.05) Conclusion: The results showed that females were more likely to display Qigong-related psychotic disorder than male due to the females’ tendency to receive suggestion. People who have special personality traits need to be cautious to exercise Qigong because is not fit for all.
