It is also a tool in the toolbox of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that has been in existence for hundreds of years. Qigong is also a set of low impact, gentle exercises that have been in existence for thousands of years and is also considered a tool in the TCM toolbox. The present article reviews some studies on the treatment of arthritis that have used tai chi or qigong exercises. The reference section includes an extensive list of publications for further research.
