The Qigong Institute Donation Program

The Qigong Institute is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting Qigong to improve health and healing by programs of research and education. We request your support of the Qigong Institute Donation Program. Donated funds benefit the educational and scientific programs of the Qigong Institute. Donations support the following current activities:

Development of the Qigong & Energy Medicine Database TM, which contains about 4,000 abstracts in English of scientific studies; maintenance and upgrading of the Qigong website and its contents; cooperation between Chinese and Qigong Institute researchers in clinical studies; providing an opportunity for graduate students to publish their findings in Qigong research; sponsoring Qigong research and publishing papers in peer reviewed journals on the profound health benefits of Qigong; and sponsoring classes and lectures series in Qigong. The educational component of the Qigong Institute is expressed mainly though its website providing lists of Qigong teachers & practitioners; publishing complete copies of scientific studies by Qigong Institute staff; selling DVDs of lectures given by professionals on various aspects of Qigong; reporting current events on Qigong; copies or links to published information on Qigong and Tai Chi, including in the popular press; providing numerous videos of different forms of Qigong and Tai Chi; providing introductory information on all aspects of Qigong, including medical, martial, and spiritual; and creation and maintenance of podcasts.

Additional funding is needed to
  • Expand the Qigong and Energy Medicine Database™, especially through searches and translation of medical literature from China
  • Carry out fundamental research on Qigong and Energy Medicine. An example proposal can be found at Support for Scientific Study of Qigong/Taiji Healing. More information on this can also be found in the Expert Commentary: Qigong - Profound Energy-Based Health Therapy to Complement Established Western Medical Practices, which is in Nova Publisher's book entitled Mind-Body and Relaxation Research Focus.
  • Provide video clips of instructional information on Qigong on our website
  • Expand the Qigong Institute presence at trade shows, health fairs, and professional conferences to inform more of the public about the profound health benefits of Qigong and to help provide a catalyst for the incorporation of Qigong and mind-body practices into our daily lives. Some prime examples of beneficiaries would be health care programs, programs providing chronic illness care, and schools.
  • Develop new Qigong documentaries
  • Create information about the health and healing benefits of Qigong for the public, government decision makers, medical doctors, and scientists
  • Help translate an essential Chinese text on Qigong for teachers, students, and medical and health-care professionals
  • Create sources of ongoing funding for the Qigong Institute
  • Sponsor lectures on Qigong and Energy Medicine
